Got a new toy today. A macro lens. There’s a whole new world to discover if you can just get a little closer…actually much closer. This is straight from the camera, playing around with the lens. I still have lots of practicing to do with macro photography. Fun stuff. TIA for your comments.

After uploading this image, I realized it’s right in line with today’s daily shoot ‘How does your garden grow? Make a photo of something growing in your or someone else’s garden today.’ I like the contrast between the black and the yellow here. TIA for your comments.

I finally got a prime lens. After I figured out how to screw it onto my camera…:), I started taking some shots. I love this little 50mm. I hear many people say that when they started using this lens, it never left their camera. I definitely see what they mean; there is something very ‘comfortable’ [...]

Today we had a family outing to the Old Maryland Farm. We saw lots of animals including ’ginormous’ bull. About halfway through our visit I spied this huge sunflower to take the shot. Afterwards, my daughter rode the carousel and then we all went for a train ride. Picture #1 is the chrome bell on [...]
